Bristol Myers Squibb has signed a five-year deal to license multimodal oncology data from Tempus AI.
Under the deal, announced Oct. 23, BMS also will get access to Tempus’ Lens Platform, which Tempus describes as an AI-first, agentic platform for oncology drug development. BMS will use the data to help it discover drug targets and develop therapies across its oncology portfolio.
“By uniting our vast multimodal data asset with dedicated GPU power inside our Lens Platform, we are equipping BMS with the AI tools necessary to decode complex biology,” Tempus Founder and CEO Eric Lefkofsky said in a statement.
Financial terms were not disclosed, however, Tempus AI said in a statement that it would make BMS one of the largest licensors of its oncology data.
The agreement expands an existing relationship between the companies that includes the application of AI and multimodal data to clinical trial design in oncology and neuroscience.
In Oct. 23 trading on the Nasdaq, shares of Tempus were up 6 percent at $67.59.
