Guardant Health CMO Quits
Craig Eagle has resigned as Guardant's top doctor, effective May 8.
Guardant Health Chief Medical Officer Craig Eagle has submitted his two weeks notice, the company said in a filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission.
Eagle will depart the blood-based cancer testing company on May 8, 2026. Guardant did not provide additional details and did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
In an April 28 note to investors, Canaccord Genuity Analyst Kyle Mikson said the split was “mutual.” Guggenheim Securities Analyst Subbu Nambi added that Eagle will be moving on to an unspecified role in drug development.
Eagle joined Guardant in 2021. Prior to that he served in VP roles at Genentech, beginning in 2019, and at Pfizer, from 2009 to 2019. Mikson noted that Eagle oversaw the ECLIPSE (Shield) and COSMOS (Reveal) studies of blood-based testing for colorectal cancer.
The company will hold a conference call on May 7 to discuss its first quarter 2026 financial results.
