Nucleai, Gilead Collaborate on Tissue Analysis in Cancer Therapy Development
Nucleai is analyzing whole-slide images across multiple oncology studies to support Gilead's antibody-drug conjugate programs.
Nucleai said it is running an ongoing translational research collaboration with Gilead Sciences to support Gilead’s global antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) clinical development programs.
As part of the expanded collaboration, announced Aug. 11, Nucleai has analyzed a large dataset of H&E and immunohistochemistry whole-slide images from several clinical studies spanning multiple oncology indications, integrating the tissue analysis with clinical outcomes data.
“Precision oncology is entering a new phase, where understanding tissue architecture is becoming just as important as understanding molecular alterations,” Nuclei CEO Avi Veidman, said in a statement. “Tissue Intelligence is becoming a foundational capability for precision medicine, helping identify the patients most likely to benefit while enabling pharmaceutical companies to translate tissue biology into reproducible biomarkers that improve the speed and success of oncology drug development.”
Israel-based Nucleai’s platform combines pathology, spatial biology, and clinical outcomes data. In a statement, Nucleai said it has generated candidate spatial biomarkers and biological insights.
The Gilead collaboration is the latest partnership Nucleai has announced in the last year, including a project with the UK’s University of Glasgow on colorectal cancer biomarkers and a partnership with Sirona Dx on spatial proteomics.
